From
the author, about Tina Springs into Summer /
Tina se lanza el verano
"Bilingual education is a fact of life
throughout the world. In the United States,
schools are struggling, within limited budgets,
to serve the needs of all their pupils without
compromising the quality of education offered.
Not the least among those needs are books to
which children of varied cultural backgrounds
and language skills can relate. From my
education and experience as a teacher and
therapist, I recognize that children learn best
when they enjoy learning and can associate
personal experiences with their lessons.
"In addition to being used in a formal school
setting, I believe that Tina will also be
of interest and value to parents of children in
a mixed language household, and to those whose
children are learning Spanish or English as a
second language."

De la autora sobre
Tina Springs into Summer / Tina se lanza el
verano
