National Hispana Leadership Institute's (NHLI) Executive Leadership Conference & Mujer Awards Gala in Albuquerque, NM November 5-6.

I am honored to have been selected to participate in a panel discussion of Latina Authors entitled "Creative Voices: Why We Write and Why You Should," which is being presented on Thursday, November 5, 2009 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm as part of the National Hispana Leadership Institute's (NHLI) Executive Leadership Conference & Mujer Awards Gala in Albuquerque, NM November 5-6.

Program Details: A panel of authors will discuss the role Latina writers have played in the preservation of language, culture, and tradition and why it is crucial for Latinas to write. Recording our life experiences through a memoir, expressing feelings through poetry, exploring the fascination of creating an imaginative story or event writing your abuela’s unique recipe can be a means to pass from generation to generation the knowledge, diversity and richness of who we are as a people. Latina Author book signing after panel presentation.

Moderator: Rosalee Montoya Read

Authors: Valerie Martinez, Teresa Bevin, Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez, Emma Sepulveda, Ph.D

Moderadora: Rosalee Montoya Read

Autoras: Valerie Martinez, Teresa Bevin, Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez, Emma Sepulveda, Ph.D
